Better than a leather breastplate; the padding of this breast collar for horses is made of a lightweight specially shaped black PVC waffle material that disperses pressure evenly. The closed cell foam material is super comfortable through the tough parts of a long ride when your horse (and your gear!) is working hard. Soft and pliable, the material lubricates with sweat and will not rub your horse or create heat.

Great features are: quality hardware won't rust, the padding won't collect stickers like fleece breastplates can, super easy to clean, and it will last a lifetime!

Zilco is a world leader in the design and production of synthetic tack products. Zilco's patented materials are a combination of elastomeric polymers and coated over nylon webbing. Not biothane belting, Zilco's material is supple but amazingly strong. The result is a beautiful product with the best modern materials that is comfortable on your horse's skin. This low-maintenance material is completely washable; simply soak in a soapy bucket of water, hose off, and wipe dry.

These versatile breastplates adjust along each shoulder, over the withers, and at each strap to the saddle and the girth. The padded sections are tapered and 1.75” at the widest point. Snaps are on each strap for easy on/off.

Easy to clean; just rinse and wipe dry. All hardware is solid brass. Zilco's Deluxe Breastplate weighs in at just 22 ounces.

Animal-friendly!

Two great sizes! Standard size fits average horses and Arabians. Oversize is great for Draft, Warmblood or broader built horses. Check measurements below to be sure.

Standard Size Specs:
Tugs adjust up to 11 inches; Breast straps up the shoulder adjust from 17 to 23 inches; Girth strap adjust from 11 to 25 inches; Wither strap adjusts up to 17 inches. Padded waffle material is 15.5 inches on the shoulder straps and 10 inches on the girth strap. Please note: Zilco tag shows "Arab/Full", however, these are standard size breastplates.

Oversize Specs:
Tugs adjust up to 11 inches; Breast straps up the shoulder adjust from 20 to 29 inches; Girth strap adjust from 18 to 31 inches; Wither strap adjusts up to 17 inches. Padded waffle material is 19 inches on the shoulder straps and 16 inches on the girth strap. Only Black or Brown available at this time. Please be sure to note Black or Brown in the pull-down menu. Please note: Zilco tag shows "Full"; however, these are Oversize breastplates.
