Long Riders Gear, located on California’s central coast in San Luis Obispo, was formed in 1996 during the time that company owner Tracy Bailey competed in competitive trail and endurance riding events. Long Riders Gear offers a comprehensive selection of quality, reasonably priced equine products including horse tack, riding apparel, horse accessories, and horse trailer gear for everyone from the competitive distance trail horse and rider to pleasure horseback riders worldwide. Experienced trail riders, Tracy and her staff of friendly horse folks have the background to cater to each customer’s individual needs.
Tracy, Owner, has had a life long love of horses. Long Riders Gear gives Tracy ample opportunity to share her love of horses and riding with her customers. Tracy enjoys seeing the world while riding horseback! Yoga on horseback, camping with her horse, trail work parties, horse rescue, and riding endless trails feeds her soul...plus grooming horses...cleaning out stables...the list goes on!
Muriel, all around Girl Friday and Tracy’s mother, contributes to the Long Riders Gear team atmosphere. She helps with processing website orders, creates shipping labels, emails tracking information to customers, phone backup, updating the mail list, filing, and various other computer tasks.
Julie, Website & Marketing Freelancer, offers her creative talents cyber-commuting from her home in Nevada. She can often be found on our Facebook page, happily chatting with our fans. Julie was a frequent friendly voice on our phone lines as Customer Service Rep. from 2002-2007. She enjoyed 25 years of loving her own horses and trail riding in Alaska, California and Oregon. She now enjoys exploring Nevada's desert peaks.
Shanti, Senior Office Pooch, joined the LRG staff in 2005 and performs such duties as greeting, training The Gals, foot-warming, and cleaning up left-over snacks and lunches. He also assists The Gals with stress relief and post office and Starbucks runs. Shanti offers inspiration in showing exemplary love and grace to everyone, living life to its fullest and admirably not concerning himself with what others think. In his spare time, Shanti enjoys playing with his adopted siblings, going for long walks and hikes, and taking siestas on the sofa with his mom, Tracy, nearby.
